Facilitated by trained and qualified staff, the program provides children with cooperative games, crafts, and outdoor activities, as well as the opportunity to meet new friends in a fun, welcoming environment. A healthy snack is provided daily.

With a little active planning and the right support, parents and educators can work together to truly nurture school readiness in meaningful, lasting ways.

Understanding Readiness

What is School Readiness?

School readiness refers to a child's ability to make a smooth and successful transition into the school environment and its routines and expectations.

These skill expectations include social, language, play, physical, and self-care abilities which, when well established, make learning easier for both teachers and children.

Why does it matter? The basic establishment of readiness skills before entry to school typically affords the child a more successful, confident, and joyful start.
